You'll meet our team, we'll explain what happens next and answer any questions you might have. Then all that's left to do is go and start this safari trip of a lifetime together.

It's difficult not to fall for Samburu National Reserve, which is one of Kenya's best wildlife parks. There's an excellent chance for you to see all of the big cats here, as well as hyenas, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hippos. Samburu has also played host to over 390 different bird species, not to mention northern species such as reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, gerenuk and Grevy's zebra. And the natural backdrop is one of the most spectacular in Kenya.

Getting to know Nairobi is a wonderful addition to your safari, with the city's museums, markets, shops, wildlife-rescue centers, restaurants and nightlife. Nairobi even has its own (excellent) national park.

Day 3

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Welcome to remarkable Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where there's so much to see, all set against a backdrop of high-altitude savannah and distant hills. It's an important sanctuary for black and white rhinos, is home to the Big Five, and has easy-to-spot populations of elephant, giraffe, buffalo and zebra. There are plenty of predators, including lion, cheetah and hyena as well. You'll also find the last two remaining northern white rhinos left on earth, a rescue center for chimpanzees, and a bird list with over 500 different species.

Transfer by Road, Samburu National Reserve to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Afternoon

Evening game drive at Ol Pejeta, visit the Chimpanzee sanctuary together with a nearby Rhino sanctuary. Members of the ”Big Five” are also found here, search for rare species such as Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Elephants, Water buck, Bush-back & other wildlife.

The excellent safari tents at Sweetwaters Serena Camp are just the start of your wonderful safari experience in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The property, which lies within the conservancy's boundaries, has a swimming pool, gift shop and restaurant. There's also a bar overlooking a floodlit waterhole where rhinos often come to drink after dark.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru National Park

The time you spend in Lake Nakuru National Park is sure to be memorable. The park is most famous (and rightly so) for how easy it is to see black and white rhinos here, as well as the populations of lions (including some that, unusually, like to climb trees) and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. You've also a chance of seeing flamingos, leopards and plenty of birds. You might also fall in love with the pretty combination of lake, acacia forest and dramatic escarpment.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Kenya has some incredible wildlife destinations, but the Masai Mara National Reserve may well be the best of them all. This classic East African landscape of savannah grasslands, rolling hills, acacia woodlands and distant escarpments is itself impressive. But it's also the backdrop to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on the planet. The Mara is known for its big cats, and this is certainly one of the best places to see lion, leopard and cheetah. You're almost guaranteed to see elephant, giraffe, buffalo, Thomson's gazelle, hippo, wildebeest and zebra, while black rhinos are possible in the Mara Triangle. And that's just the start. The Masai Mara is home to over 500 bird species too.

Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is the busiest and highest of Kenya's Rift Valley lakes. The lake has a fascinating history, as a weekend escape for the wealthy during the colonial era. These days, it serves a similar purpose for a refreshingly diverse cross-section of Kenyan society. There is lots to do along the southern shore, and keep an eye out for hippos, zebras and giraffes.
